Regulation in biological systems depends on feedback, which is an example of information flow. When diabetes destroys insulin-producing cells, what information flow is disrupted?

    Answer:the body's ability to detect and control high blood sugar level, is disrupted

    Explanation:in a normal functioning human system, different homeostatic processes occurs. they occur in order to keep the internal environment of the body constant.

    One of such homeostatic process is the control of blood sugar level.

    When food is digested and absorbed, the glucose level of the blood becomes higher, then the hormone Insulin is secreted as a negative feedback mechanism. this Insulin secreted functions to keep the glucuse level constant and it does this by converting glucose to glycogen which is stored.

    The hormone glucagon acts opposite to insulin. it converts glycogen to glucose, when the glucose level in the blood is low.

    During diabetes, the ability of the body to produce Insulin is reduced and as a result the glucose level of the body is constantly above normal.

    For patients with diabetes, they have to be given insulin injections to regulate the level of glucose.
