How does a molecular compound compare to the elements that make up the compound?

    The only difference between a molecular compound and an element is that in an element all the molecules are the same, but in a molecular compound there are different types of elements that make up the compound.

    So an element is something you find on the periodic table, a molecular compound is created using different types of elements.
