Pheochromocytoma is a rare tumor, usually noncancerous (benign) that develops in adrenal gland's medulla. It can affect both or only one adrenal gland. The tumor cells will release hormones that will cause high blood pressure causing damage to the cardiovascular system.

    2) Pheochromocytoma is mostly on the medulla f the adrenal gland but can have other locations. Extra-adrenal pheochromocytomas can appear in the abdomen, torax, within the urinary bladder and neck usually in association with the sympathetic ganglia
