Theories are set of assumptions that aims to answer a scientific question or phenomenon. It is preceded by a hypothesis which is tested.

The development of the cell theory which exemplifies how scientific theories are formed is examined and tested with credible evidence and results which has supported its inception. This theory explains how every organism comes from a cell. And the cell evolved from pre-existing cells and how every organism that is living has a cell for it to be alive.
