What is gout? What are some of the theories about why gout develops in reptiles?

    Gout is a type of arithritis, which occur due to the high amount of uric acid in the blood. The uric acid sometimes form crystal in the joints and develop pain, redness, swelling etc. A theory is that giving food to reptiles meat that are convey to be herbivore, because to support those substances they don't have the correct digestive track. Other theories are dehydration or impaired kidney function.
