Suppose a volcano sent large amounts of ash into the air that blocked the sunlight over a large area of ocean water for several months. Would this affect life in the ocean? Why or why not?

    This would affect life in the ocean because without light, many plants would not be able to grow or survive which would disrupt the food chain, causing many marine animals to lose their food source and struggle to survive.
