    Glycolysis is a metabolic pathway of carbohydrates that deals with the break down of glucose to pyruvate by a series of enzyme catalyzed biochemical steps.

    During glycolysis the intermediate di hydroacetone phosphate (1 molecule) undergo isomerization to form form 2 molecules of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate.

    From there rest of the intermediates of glycolysis are produced with 2 molecules and as a result the end product of the glycolysis is 2 molecules of pyruvate.
