The wind is caused by differences in air pressure. An anemometer is a tool for measuring wind speed. The wind-chill factor has a cooling effect

    Explanation:

Winds move from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure. This is because the areas of low pressure are composed of hotter and less dense air. The cooler air from the higher pressure region rushes in to displaces the rising warm less dense air. The direction from which the winds prevail FROM is used to name the winds (such as westerlies blow from West to East). A wind vane, windsock and anemometer measure the direction and speed of wind. As wind passes over the skin, it causes a cooling effect (the wind chill factor) because it blows the sweat away from the skin carrying with it the heat.

    Options (1), (4) and (5)

    Explanation:

Wind is a form of energy and is a renewable source of energy. The name wind is basically given for the direction from which it flows. This wind arises because of the pressure difference in the atmosphere and it blows from a region of high pressure to the region of low pressure in order to make the area cool.

The speed and direction of the prevailing wind are usually calculated by using a tool that is commonly known as an anemometer.

When the wind blows over a region, the individuals feel a lowering temperature which is known as the wind-chill factor. This is why it is generally considered to have a cooling effect.

Thus, the correct answers are options (1), (4), and (5).
