Do the muscles of the abdominal wall rotate the hips

    Answer: No, the muscles from the abdominal wall don't rotate the hips.

    The only rotating they do it's the rotation of the torso.

    To rotate the hips its necessary the contraction of the following muscles: Piriformis, gemellus superior, gemellus inferior, internal obturator, quadratus femoris and the external obturator. Together they form the lateral rotator group.
