Explanation: Peptic ulcer is otherwise known as stomach ulcer, it is used to describe a wound or sore occuring in the linning of the oesophagus, stomach or small intestines of the digestive system.

The main goal of the treatment of Peptic ulcer is to prevent reoccurrence of the ulcer, treat/relieve the symptoms that come with it and heal the wound/sore.

When an individual suffering from peptic ulcer ceases/avoids smoking, there is less likelihood that the ulcer will reoccur, this is also applicable to when the client avoids taking coffee, caffeinated coffee, Alcohol and caffeinated beverages.

The client should also be educated on the dangers of skipping meals and the effects of will have on the already developed sore, therefore, the client should try and eat meals regularly and the eating of the meal should be fine in a manner that is relaxed and in an environment that is calm, serene and relaxed too so that the client will not overeat.
