    Hotspots are produced by mantle plumes that are composed of magma; however, yellowstone is a hotspot that erupts more explosively because the hotspot comes from deep beneath the earth's mantle and the force exerted on it is high. Thus, enabling it to rise high. It rises from a higher to a lower pressure.
