Explain what happens to the incoming solar radiation after it is reflected off the surface of the earth (include what happens to wavelength).

    The answer is; The reflected light, has a longer wavelength and lower frequency

    When sunlight hit the earth's surface and becomes reflected back, some of the energy is lost in the process. This is analogous to bouncing a ball off the ground, it loses some of the energy and does not bounce to the equivalent height it dropped from.
