    Based on the diagnosis, the nurse anticipates that there will be a component of the treatment plan is supportive. More severely ill children may be hospitalized and given oxygen, chest physiotherapy, and IV fluids. Antibiotics are not given. Bacterial pneumonia, however, is treated with antibiotic therapy.
