    Answer: Surgical Iridectomy or coredectomy is the excision of iris for the treatment of glaucoma.

    Explanation:

    Glaucoma is a desease that destroy the optic nerve and can cause blindness. It can best be treated by surgical iridectomy. Glaucoma is caused when the fluid inside the eye (aqueous humor) flow out through a channel and continuous build up can cause blockage of the channel

    Surgical Iridectomy is the removal of part of the iris in order to treat glaucoma. This is normally done for close angle glaucoma.
