The statement that describes the cyclic nature of seafloor speading are

    New oceanic crust is created.

Old crust is destroyed at subduction zones.

Old crust is pushed away from oceanic ridges.

    Explanation:

Seafloor spreading is geologic process in which tectonic plates split apart from each other producing new seafloor. The process of seafloor results in mantle convection which is slow churning motion of the mantle. It occurs at divergent plate boundaries.

The newly formed crust pushes the old crust away at edges. when the old crust comes into a situation to be at a convergent boundary it will start subducting and go into the mantle layer and gets destroyed.

It occurs along mid - ocean ridges and old crust is pushed away from the oceanic ridges. Oceanic crusts move slowly from oceanic ridges and sites of seafloor spreading making them cooler more dense and thick.
