Forensic pathologists calculate height of a bone length to determine the height of the person. The person's various bones determine the age, sex and death time of a person. The length of various bones determine the height of hands, legs, etc to get the exact length of that person.

By discovering height and length of a bone forensic experts are able to tell the person’s weight, the racial group to which the person belongs. With other characteristics of the bones, the experts can discover age, if the person was a male or female and what traumas suffered before.
