    The fertilisation occurs in the fallopian tube. By about the fifth day after fertilisation, the embryo finally reaches the uterus, where it implants itself in the endometrium, or uterine lining. Furthermore, implantation of a fertilised ovum is most likely to occur around 9 days after ovulation, however, this can range between 6 and 12 days.

    Not all but certain medicines should not be taken by pregnant women because it can increase blood pressure, thinning of blood and it can increase contraction in the uterus causing the uterine lining to shed leading to miscarriage.
