Somatization disorder is diagnosed to those people who repeatedly complain of pain and discomfort of various kinds, which have no identifiable physical origin. These symptoms, which are also recurrent and inexplicable, interfere negatively in their social, work and even personal life, it seems that their origin is due to high levels of anxiety, which can be caused by a high level of stress or by important emotional problems, the appropriate nursing action, when a client diagnosed with somatization reports nausea, is to reduce the focus given to the physical symptom (nausea), so it start disappearing and then explain that the symptoms come from the mind, by his high level of stress and anxiety.
