How are linked genes and sex linked genes similar?

    They are connected since gametes or the sperm or egg cells contain only a portion or half of the chromosomes of the host which carry's the characteristics, traits and other biological and genetic materials of the host and when sex happens there will be a fertilization of these two gametes, where the chromosomes will blend together and the genes from these gametes will bind and form the said characteristics of the offspring.

    These haploids cells contain for about 23 chromosomes and when fertilization happens, the meeting of the egg cell and the sperm cell, they will bind together and become a complete 46 chromosomed cell, a diploid cell.
