    C) UAA

    Explanation:

Once a termination codon (UAA, UAG, or UGA) occupies the A site on the ribosome, release factors (RF-1, RF-2, and RF-3) facilitate the release of free polypeptide and uncharged tRNA from the P site of ribosome.

The two subunits of ribosome are also dissociated from each other. All these events occur during termination of protein synthesis.

The termination codon UAG and UAA are recognized by RF-1 while release factor-2 recognizes the termination codons "UGA and UAA".
