A man who is color-blind marries a woman who is not color-blind and is not a carrier of the allele for color blindness. Create a Punnett square to predict the possible genotypes of their children.

    Let C be the allele for normal vision and is dominant to allele c for colour blindness.

    XC Xc

    Xc XCXc XcXc

    Y XCY XcY

    Genotype XCXc is a normal vision female but heterozygous that is carrier of that defective allele. The probability of the couple getting a colour blind child is 50%.
