    Grafting can be defined as a surgical procedure that involves the removal of skin from area of the body to another part of the body in the same person or another person.

    It is done in case of burns or injury. Grafting can be classified into following types.

    Autograft: The donor and the recipient are from the same individual.

    Allograft can be defined implanting tissue or organ from another individual of same species.

    Isograft can be defined as implanting tissue or organ from genetically identical individual.

    Xenograft can be defined as implantation of tissue or organ from different species.
