Cranial nerve IX is the glossopharyngeal

which has a pH sensor on the carotid artery

carbon dioxide build up would affect this sensor

if you're not breathing properly gas exchange would be altered

this would have a cascade of other consequences also

proteins have a very limited range in which they are productive

they loose their structure from variations of temp and pH

all enzymes are made of proteins they catalyze the actions of metabolism in the cells. In the respiratory system like lungs deoxygentaed blood is thrown out and oxygentated blood is taken in the pulmonary vein take this oxygentaed blood in to the hert ... from aorta of heart the blood is distributed to the body ... but if there is a problem in respiratory system then deoxygentaed blood will be taken in by pulmonary vein as a result it harms the circulation of blood and the cardiovascular system gets effected
