    The answer is the last statement: One of the organisms grows and changes, but the other does not.

    Explanation: The characteristics of life include: responsiveness to the environment,

    growth and change, ability to reproduce, have a metabolism and breathe, maintain homeostasis, being made of cells, and passing traits onto offspring. All of the other organisms listed above reproduce in some way and gain energy in one form or another. Except for the last organism that doesn't grow and change according to the characteristics of life.
