In giving a priority instruction regarding the disease management of the patient a nurse should include the following: (1) Flush entirely the peritoneal pads in the toilet; (2) Place the pads in bio-hazard waste stacks; (3) Put the pads in the patient’s waste carrier; (4) Seal the used pads in a unsoiled paper bag. This should be instructed to a patient who is about to be discharged from the gynecological clinic after the treatment for acute pelvic inflammatory.
