Why is there a delay between the ecg pattern and the resulting beat of the heart?

    There would be a delay between the ECG pattern and the resulting beat of the heart because it takes time for the pulse to travel from the systole (ventricular contraction) to the radial artery. Pulse cannot be felt in the finger. It can be felt with a pulse oxymeter.
