Explain how the process of radioactive decay is used to accurately date fossils

    Radiocarbon dating is used for organic remains up to around 50 to 60 thousand years. After that radio isotope comparison (Potassium-Argon) dating methods are used for fossils by looking at the igneous rocks surrounding the sedimentary rocks in which they are found.
