Which trophic level does a fish represent in this food chain? algae → mosquito larva → dragonfly larva → fish → man

    Fish would be secondary consumer here feeding on algae and/or larvae in water; man eating the fish would be at the top of the food chain as it would consume fish.

    The fish would be heterotrophic since the fish consumes the dragonfly larva as heterotrophs is defined by the inability to produce ones food. (They have to hunt)
