Which specific part of the nephron is not permeable to water and water does not get reabsorbed?

    The specific part of the nephron which is not permeable to water is the thin ascending limb of loop of Henle. Water does not get reabsorbed in the thin ascending limb. The thin ascending limb is however permeable to ions that cross by diffusion.
