Plants respire only during the night.

This is not true because plants respire all the time since they need to live. Plants break down glucose and use it for metabolism. It is true where ATP is being produced and used as a source of energy.

Respiration is limited to human beings, and animals this is not true because respiration also occurs in microbes and plants. It is true that animals do not obtain carbon dioxide they breathe in oxygen which is then broken down to respiration for energy to be produced.

Plants return carbon dioxide for energy to be produced. Plants return carbon dioxide for photosynthesis to take place.

Water which is being released during respiration process is being utilized in photosynthesis and the sentence becomes untrue if they say water is used up in respiration and give out by-product of photosynthesis.
