    Biomagnification also known as bioamplification or biological magnification is the term which describes the process whereby toxic substance increase along trophic level of an ecosystem. It involve increasing concentration of a substance such toxic chemical in the tissues of organism at successively higher level in food chain. example fish accumulate more mercury rapidly than they excrete it.
