A newly discovered tree species has cone-like structures that are covered with exposed seeds. Which plant group does it most likely belong to?

    New tree species discovered with cone-like features and have seeds as its covering are called pine trees. These pine trees have pine cones which is their reproductive structure. These pine cones are seeds exposed outside the trees. The pine cones belong to the plant group called gymnosperms.
