If the kidneys stopped working then the body will not be able to purify the blood, the nitrogenous waste will remain in the blood and circulate throughout the body. The person can get seizures, get into coma and even die. The state where kidneys stop working is termed as kidney failure. The treatment is dialysis and transplant the kidney.
