If the ecosystem is balanced, which populations should be the largest? The smallest?

    If the ecosystem is balanced, the population of the organisms would follow the consumer pyramid which means that the plants being the most widely eaten, should have the largest population. Since the predators are on the topmost part of the pyramid, their population should be the least.
