How could research on how genes control traits in orchids benefit our understanding of the human genome?

    All life is encoded through DNA. Every plant and animal has chromosomes in which genes that code for proteins are responsible for the organism's traits. For all species, the structure of core dogma is essentially the same, and studying the principle on orchids would also lead to the understanding of the human genome.
