Hybrid poplar trees can absorb volatile organic compounds through their stomata, thereby filtering them

    Explanation:

It is well known that trees play a key role by purifying the air of CO2 and releasing oxygen. Moreover, trees are also capable of absorbing and filtering different types of harmful gases such as ammonia and sulfur dioxide, thereby forestation of larger areas may result an interesting strategy to clean the air from toxic pollutants
