The answer is glucose. Starches are complex carbohydrates that are formed by a long chain of sugar molecules or polysaccharides. Glucose is a form of sugar or monosaccharide. Glucose molecules, from 300 to 1000, when linked together will form starch. Grains, potato and corn are examples of starch.
