We all know that DNA is in the shape of a double helix. It consists of a phosphate, deoxyribose sugars, and a nitrogen base, which consists of adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine (which together are known as the nucleotides when combined). Nucleotides form the basic structural unit of nucleic acids. Regarding the nitrogen base, the base has what are called base pairs such that Adenine matches thyamine while guanine matches to cytosine.
