Predation is where the prey is killed and eaten by the predator for energy.

Parasitism is where the host is harmed by the parasite, but is not killed. If the host is killed, it is because of a virus or disease the parasite was carrying.

Answer: Predation and parasitism both involve the other organism getting captured. The difference is that predation is when the other organism gets eaten and parasitism is when the organism gets harmed.
