    D. All of the above, The pesticides and herbicides aren't needed if theyre already there, weeds will get root rot and cant take root in just water, weeds and pests usually need ground to travel. Near or far

    The answer is A. While rice has a submerged growth state, most weeds and pests do not.

    This makes the population of rice will get picked out faster than the time needed for pest to grow and had enough stock to consume the rice, which make the usage of herbicides and pesticides became unnecessary in the process.
