Tornadoes are extremely a weather phenomenon. They develop from several thunderstorms, normally supercell storms that are in a wind shear atmosphere which promotes rotation. That environment is most popular in spring across the U. S. when the hurricane track is just the right distance from the Gulf and other causes of moisture.

The main climate change association is via the fundamental variability of the low-level atmosphere which produces the convection and storms in the first place. Warmer and moister situations play the chief role in making air unstable. The oceans are hotter because of climate change.

Short-term. They occur quickly and the damage left behind is easily fixed most of the time.
