Cold currents are cold because they absorb thermal energy from the air above them

Warm currents warm the air above them.

Warm currents cause the air above them to take up less moisture than cold currents do.

    Answer: me personally i think it would be "warm currents warm the air above them"

    Explanation:

    it just makes the most sense to me and if the warm thermal energy is coming off the water the air would get warm
