    Explanation:

    History shows that in the past, as the field of science and technology was not much advanced, hence many epidemic diseases caused a decline in the population of humans over time.

    But now, advances in the field of science and technology has led to the cure of many diseases. The factors such as famine which killed humans in the past are not likely to occur in today's world. Hence, the population will tend to grow and the death rate will decline.
