    In anaphase of meiosis, all the chromosome line in a single track in the metaphase plate. In metaphase I of meiosis I, chromosome line the metaphase plate of the cell in homologous pairs. This is why at the end of telophase in anaphase I, the genetic material of the daughter cells is halved while in mitosis, it remains the same. Meiosis II is usually similar to mitosis.
