The answer is "All living things maintain homeostasis." Homeostasis is the process of maintaining equilibrium and balance in the body in relation to the various cellular processes.

    Explanation:

There are 7 characteristics of life:

A body should grow and change. A body should react to the external environment. It should have the capacity to reproduce. A body should be made up of cells. A body should be capable of passing traits to its offspring. It should have a metabolic system and should be able to breathe. It should have the capacity to maintain homeostasis.

Homeostasis is responsible for the maintenance of variables like core temperature, glucose, iron level, oxygen level, pH, cerebrospinal fluid, etc. Humans and mammals regulate their temperature through allostasis. In case of extreme cold, the blood supply to the body is reduced through vasoconstriction. In case of high temperature, the sweat glands are activated which allow the body to cool down.
