    The amount of heat energy required in joules to raise the temperature by 1 kelvin of a 1 gm substance is called the specific heat capacity. So substance which have high specific heat capacity requires more heat energy to raise their temperature.

    Water has very high specific heat capacity due to having lots of hydrogen bonds that are used to make H₂O molecule. So most of the heat energy is used in breaking the hydrogen bonds between the water molecule which restrict the wide change in the temperature of the water bodies.

    So high specific heat capacity means more ability to restrict the change in the temperature. Therefore the correct answer is water has high heat capacity.
