Which part of the nervous system reacts when the human body is subjected to stress?

    It is the so-called sympathetic nervous system. It is the nervous system's drive to defend the body from threat or danger by motivating immediate action. It is widely known as the "fight or flight" impulse.

    There is one more part of the autonomic nervous system: the parasympathetic nervous system.
