A scientific method involves many steps to answer the phenomenon, the last step of which is to communicate and share the results to the public. One of the ways to share the result is to publish the results in scientific journals which are reviewed by fellow scientists. The peer-review is important as:

    1. It ensures that the experiment has been performed using the scientific method,

    2. Data is supported by other background research,

    3. Cited the research articles,

    4. Experiment can be replicated by any other scientist to prove the hypothesis.

Therefore, before publishing a research article, peer-review is necessary.
