    There are 23 chromosomes are found in the sex cells of humans.

    Explanation:

    Actually in human, there are 46 chromosomes are present in the body cells while 23 chromosomes are present in the sex cells because in body cells mitosis occurs while in sex cells meiosis occurs. Meiosis is a type of cell division in which a single cell is divided into four daughter cells having half number of chromosome in each daughter cell so that's why chromosomes are 23 in number.
