    As per Hardy Weinberg Principle, in a population mating in a random manner without any evolutionary force, the allele frequencies remains constant from generations to generations

    Thus, sum of P and Q,

    P = frequency of common allele

    Q = Frequency of less common allele

    Remains constant.

    P + Q = 1

    If P = 0.68

    Then Q = 1 - P

    = 1 - 0.68

    = 0.32

    Q = 0.32 because p + q = 1
